Sad Studs...

If you love Taylor Swift's Bad Blood music video like I do, then prepare yourself for this amazing parody video called Sad Studs from Jeffery Self & Jake Wilson with an IMPORTANT message, which we have the same 1-year ban in the UK.

P.S. Can I have 3-Legs (played by Jared Techau) please?

Hello Pluto...

Back in August 21, 2006, I blogged a post about several round 'objects' like asteroids or moons that found beyond Neptune could be reclassified as planets in our solar system. Guess what? Today, July 15, 2015, could be the day when NASA's New Horizons spacecraft arrives Pluto, the largest object in the Kuiper belt!

Pluto's Short Planetary Reign

When Pluto was first discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930, many astronomers were certain that a large planet orbited the Sun beyond Neptune. Instead they found Pluto, which turned out to be small compared to Earth and Neptune, though more than double the size of Ceres, with a diameter of 2,300km.

Pluto also has an unusual orbit, as it crosses Neptune’s orbit, though it does so in such a way that it can never collide with Neptune.

Pluto's modern-day troubles began in 1992, when astronomers David Jewitt and Jane Luu discovered the first objects in the region of the solar system now known as the Kuiper Belt, an asteroid belt which is made mostly of house- and mountain-sized chunks of ice that orbit the Sun beyond the orbit of Neptune. Pluto, as it turns out, is one of the biggest 'objects' in the Kuiper Belt.

What is Pluto?

Pluto is the last unexplored planet in our solar system. And the Kuiper Belt may contain hundreds of other planetary worlds like Pluto. These may be the most numerous worlds in the solar system; they may contain, together, the most total surface area of all the solid-surfaced planets.

Pluto has one large moon, Charon, and at least four small moons: Nix, Hydra, Kerberos and Styx. It has an atmosphere that expands and contracts as Pluto warms and cools during its 248 year orbit around the Sun. The surface is likely rich in water ice, enriched with methane and nitrogen and carbon monoxide frosts; these ices might contain complex organic molecules.

The New Horizons mission is poised to answer some of our myriad questions about Pluto. How did it form? What is the atmosphere made of? What is the surface like? Does Pluto have a magnetic field? What are the moons like? Does Pluto have a subsurface ocean? Is the surface of Pluto's moon Charon pure water ice?

Pluto has guarded its secrets for four and half billion years. But in a few months, a few intrepid humans will pull back the curtain on Pluto and say, "Hello, Pluto, we're here!" And Pluto will begin to share her secrets with us. When she does, our familiarity with Pluto will help us recognize that Pluto is, was, and has always been a planet, albeit a small one.

We only get to visit Pluto for the very first time, once. Today. July 15, 2015. In your lifetime. Get ready to party! Pluto is coming home =]

Meet My Precious...

I'm so sorry to have kept you guys waiting so long for another interview of another blog fan. The sad truth is, I haven't received any email from anyone who shows any interest in being featured on my blog ='[

But hey ho, I'm SO over it now and look who I have here! The charming blogger behind the charming Lust Without You.

PR8: First, can you tell my readers a little bit about yourself?
K: I'm originally from South America, Peru. My family moved to Canada 20 years ago escaping terrorism. I speak 3 languages, read 4, currently single, dad of 2 dogs and "daddy" of some others... I have great social skills, but I'm a reclusive person. I'm more of a long-term relationship type of guy although since my last official boyfriend I have accumulated tons of sex-mates =P As the great Garcia Marquez quoted, "Sex is the consolation you have when you cannot have love." Wanna know more? Check out my blog profile HERE!

How did you discover The Ministry of Pleasure?
In all honesty, I don't recall. It's been years that I read it and at my age (I'm 37 but my memory is like 88) that's a difficult question.

How long have you been a reader of TMOP?
Read answer #2

What keeps you coming back to TMOP?
Your personal stories. I feel related to you since our relationships are/were very alike. Our lifestyles are very different, but life happens the same to all of us, gay and straight. We love, we lose, we laugh and we cry.

Anything you would like to see on TMOP in the future?
More music links. Otherwise, great work! Specially this new section introducing awesome people from around the world. #modesty

Hmm, I notice you have a blog too. Tell me more!
No please! I'm embarrassed! People who read always have the wrong impression of me, but if you insist... I've been blogging for about 12 years. I had 4 previous blog and this is my 5th one. We all change with time and my current blog represents me better right now... Easy going, no taboos, outspoken, sexual and playful... HELL!!! In your late 30's is morally acceptable to be a tramp! But, don't listen to me kids.

Complete the sentence, "My guilty pleasure is..."
Porn. Sugar. Blogs.

Boxers, briefs or go commando?
What's a boxer?? what's a brief?? A man who call himself a man, only goes one way and that's commando!

Ask me a question and I'll try to answer it.
If you were "God" for a day, what will you do?
Hmm, if I'm "God" for a day, I'll first cast my wonder onto the heart of every single human being in this world to forget all hatred, prejudice, bigotry and alike to make the world a better place. Then, I'll save all endangered plants and animals from extinction. And finally, I'll make sure I could never be "God" for a day again!

And last but not least. Madonna, yay or nay?
YAY! Only because she's a legend. Her music declined drastically after Ray of Light. If she still relevant in the 2000's is thanks to Confessions on a Dance Floor. Personally, one of my favorite albums from her is Bed Time Stories, a great underrated album.

Thank you K for doing this interview with me! And if you wanna be featured on the next Meet My Precious, simply email me and we can take it from there!

Super Novak...

A big congratulations to Djokovic, who claimed his third Wimbledon title with a never-ending series of brilliant ground-strokes with a 7-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 victory, ensuring that there would be no fairytale triumph for Federer, who also played really well except the last set. Well done!

Snitch...

Seriously, this is brilliantly WRONG on so many levels!!! I feel like I've committed a crime after watching it... And, Harry (Andrew Pirozzi) and Ron (Adrian Anchondo) are geeky HOT HOT HOT!

Positive...

Tonight, my friend Steve and I went to see a play called Positive at the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park and thoroughly enjoyed it. The set was very minimalist, the story was amazing and the actors did a great job!

Positive is a comedy about living with HIV. No, no, not a gloomy one (no one dies!). It's in fact very funny, truly! It's a play about people and how they handle it, both the positive people and their lovers, friends and families.

To me, this is a play that is totally positive, while pointing out problems, but it works because it's about people not disease, and you wanna know what will happen to and between them.

Guilty Pleasure...

One of the popular gay-theme viral videos this week is this cute short video called 19th Birthday. It's about 'that awkward moment' when a mom and dad set their son up on Jack'd, an online gay dating app, on his brand new phone (as birthday pressie).

Honestly, Jack'd did a great job! I think the video is hilarious yet sweet and that 'RagingBottom96' kid is super cute!

I'm Old, Not Obsolete...

Just saw Terminator: Genisys at the cinema and I was actually really surprised on how much I enjoyed this movie, and it's definitely, without doubt, the second best Terminator to Judgement Day!

Was it a great movie? No, but it's a fun summer blockbuster. The plot was actually kinda interesting because it's basically a mix of Terminator 1 and 2. Sadly it did start to get a bit confusing and stupid near the end. The action sequences in this movie were all good and exciting! It's over the top in a good way. I really liked the one sequence where the old Arnold fought against his younger self, I thought it's nostalgic and awesome to watch.

The cast also did a great job, Arnold (of course!), Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke and Jai Courtney, take a bow - a massive applause to you all!

Yet Another Profile...

"Hi peeps! I'm Jamie. Scottish lad living in London. Travel the globe for work so could be in a city near you - San Francisco, NYC, Washington, Boston, Chicago, Las Vagas, LA, Miami, Shanghai, Dubai, Hong Kong, Dehli, and now Johannesburg! So hit me up if you see me online xx

BTW, thanks for all the compliments guys, but sorry I don't have time to respond to them all. Honestly, I don't get that many compliments... I just think it's funny when people say that. Need to hire a PA! Anyone?"

Seriously, I have a very strong feeling that I've seen him working as a flight attendant on one of my Virgin Atlantic flights to Hong Kong... And guess what? Virgin flies to all the destinations he mentioned!

July 4...

To all of my fellow American followers, wish you all a very BIG happy Independence Day from me in the United Kingdom! XXX

P.S. July 4 is also the 185th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 180 days remaining until the end of the year. The Aphelion, the point in the year when the Earth is farthest from the Sun, occurs around this date.

Vogue It Tatum...

So, Magic Mike XXL will be out in UK cinemas on July 3, and am I fussed? Well, let's just say that I won't be rushing to the cinema to see it, but I'll catch it at some point I'm sure, like maybe on a plane or something. Plus I'm not a huge fan of Channing Tatum, don't love him or hate him, just not that particularly interested by him. That said, you can't deny that he might 'Vogue' better than Madge when Vanity Fair asked the star to show off some of his fancy footwork. Check him out!

Feel The Heat...

Finally, it's beginning to look a lot like... Summer!

Honestly, It's so hot today and I was literally 'melting'! Sadly, instead of enjoying the sun-kissed London, I was working in the hospital for most of the day =[

According to the Met Office, Britain has endured the hottest July day on record with temperatures soaring to 36.7C (98F), making Britain hotter than Barcelona, Ibiza and Athens!

Pride In London...

Oh My G-A-Y! Blessed with the perfect weather and, frankly, a PERFECT crowd cheering from both sides of the street. I had a BLAST at this year's Pride in London! Around 30,000 people turned out for the biggest ever London Pride event yesterday, defying terror threats and taking to the streets of the capital. Apparently the family of the world famous code-breaker Alan Turing who was prosecuted for his homosexuality joined the march which saw more than 250 different groups taking part in the parade too!

As I mentioned in my previous post, instead of doing stewarding, I was walking in the parade this year, and the whole experience felt so much different. Although I didn't manage to see all the groups in the parade, I was overwhelmed by the love and support of the thousands who lined the parade route, cheering us (the marchers) on. Honestly, proud is an understatement! And of course, I ended up partying in Soho with all my friends after the parade was over =]

Happy Pride...

Yay, today is PRIDE LONDON! This year I'll skip my stewarding for once and join the parade with GMI Partnership, an organization I signed up recently to provide outreach and testing services to gay and bisexual men living, working or socialising in London. Happy Pride everyone and remember all you need is LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Love Wins...

Wow! On Friday, 26 June 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that same-sex marriage is a legal right across 50 States of the United States. It means the 14 states with bans on same-sex marriage will no longer be able to enforce them.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our LGBT brothers and sisters across the Atlantic! Your constitutional right has now been affirmed =]

Meow Wow...

OMG! I accidentally came across this cute kitten face swim brief by Slick It Up and I absolutely LOVE it! Can someone PLEASE buy it for me?! PLEEEASE?

Slick It Up, a raunchy NYC-based brand that sells men's underwear, active wear and fetish wear. What I like most about this brand is how fun it is. Slick It Up doesn't take itself too seriously, as the commercial above shows, and they sell just about everything. Definitely check it out but make sure to have an open mind =]

Britain Has Spoken...

I'm normally not the political type but yesterday I cast my first UK vote to the Labour party in my constituency. And despite the Conservatives won the majority nationally with 331 out of 650 seats, I was glad that my local Labor MP held his constituency with 28,654 (67.3%) votes ahead of Conservative candidate on 5,090 (12%).

Anyway, the British public has spoken, I wish David Cameron the best of luck for the next 5 years and I hope he'll keep his pledge to lead a government for 'one nation' and make 'Great Britain greater'!
