So, I've been hanging out with Peter Pan for a couple of times in the past two months and things were cool between us.
Last night, we went to cinema to see Star Trek Into the Darkness (go and watch it, it's really good) and after that, we went back to his place for a glass of wine and some TV till midnight. We hugged goodbye and I left. Once inside my car, I suddenly had this urge to ask him if I could stay over the night, I knew I was playing with fire but I sent the text anyway. Five minutes later, he replied and said he didn't feel comfortable with it and probably not a good idea for our friendship. I respected his decision and drove home.
This morning I woke up and felt really sh*t about what had happened. I sent him an apology and he said, "That's ok Willy. I was tempted too but I know it would be wrong to do so. See you Saturday x"
It's like two steps forward and one step back. Have I moved on? Hmm, maybe not as 'moved on' as I thought or would like, but I'm glad Peter Pan was sensible and made the right decision for me.

Today I made another life decision - I handed in my notice to quit my curent job of four years as a pharmacist at my psychiatric hospital.
Don't worry, this is not an impulsive decision. In fact, I've been thinking of resigning for weeks. The reason? Hmmm, partly because the whole workplace politic is getting on my nerve and partly because I JUST WANT A CHANGE IN MY LIFE! So, what's the plan? Well, first of all, I'll still work in this job for two more months, then I'll take a break in July/August (did I hear Vancouver/San Francisco?) before I started to work as a self-employed pharmacist, which gives me the flexibiliy to venture out and do a lot of different things (e.g. graphic design and painting) in my spare time. Also, I'll have the opportunity to work in different places and meet new people.
Of course this is just a plan. If things don't go my way, I can always go back and get a permenant job in the NHS. But at this moment, I am young, free and single. The world is my oyster! Right?

Just watched the movie MILK and wanted to let you know how profound I thought it was. First and foremost, it's no wonder that Sean Penn won the Oscar! Secondly, I can't believe how far we've come! I didn't know much about Mr. Milk before watching this movie. He's such a brave and courageous man who paved the way for millions of others, who fight daily for equal rights for all!

Something has been missing from my life lately. Well, lots of things, but this post is about just one of them. I've noticed that I've been really wanting a massage.
