Guilty Pleasure...

Handsome but gentlemanly, well-built and healthy are some of the words that I used to describe the adorable Will Chalker. Back in 2000, this 20-year-old beautiful Brit was a construction worker and an ama- teur boxer before his friend took test photos of him and sent them to the modeling agencies. Since then, the builder turned catwalk model has been strutting down the men's runways in Milan and Paris for over 11 seasons. Now that's what I call Zero to Hero!

Chalker has graced the covers of British GQ and Men’s Vogue, starred in campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent, Paul Smith and Perry Ellis, and was the first man ever to be nominated for Best Model at the British Fashion Awards in 2004. Chic, charismatic and constant, its models like Chalker that proves the difference between fad and fixture.

For now, Chalker seems happy to remain down to earth. He has a rep- utation for punctuality and professionalism, and is enjoying the exper- ience for however long it lasts, supermodel or not.

"I've always liked nice clothes," Chalker says, "but now I know names I'd never have known in the past. Now I'd still never wear a whole outfit, but the clothes at places like Gucci or YSL make you feel like a million dollars."
