Sweet As A Knut...

Meet Knut, the irresistibly cuddly three-month-old polar bear cub who's at the centre of a big row in Germany after he was rejected by his mother after his birth.

Knut's being looked after by a keeper at Berlin Zoo who makes sure he is fed properly and has plenty of time to play.

Some animal activists say the zoo should have let Knut die, because they think it's wrong for wild bears to be raised by humans.

But polar bears are endangered and the zoo says looking after Knut could help to increase their numbers.

Knut's story has been massive in Germany but it seems all he's worried about is what he'll get to play with next!

Seriously, no one has the right to decide who or what should die (especially those animal rights nutters) and I think Knut has every RIGHT to live! Long live Knut!

Moving story my friend. I am pretty far away from the scene (in South America) but I'm feeling touched by it. Who would let die that marvellous little nature's creature?

Wow I've seen this cute creature everywhere this week. He's really the cutest thing on earth right now. The way he kissed his care-taker is so adorable. who would have thought you can kiss a polar bear(Lost is to blame).

I really like this post PR8. Thank you!!

PS - The polar bears at the Berlin Zoo are the happiest zoo dwellers I've seen anywhere. I watched them toss a small log in the water and then chase each other for it - bring it back up top and toss it in again. They were having a ball!
