So Long, Farewell...

Guys, I don't know how to put this but here we go!

On May 27, I will be leaving my good old England and taking a BIG career break for a period of one year in Australia (didn't I mention before I'll be coming back for more?). My destination? Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland.

First of all, I need to tell you that this is not an impulsive decision, I have planned this carefully and thoroughly for quite sometime. For me, it's kinda a tough decision to make as I will be leaving my friends and job behind and travel all the way to the other side of the Earth alone for a year, but it's something I always wanna do and I know I will gain so much valuable experience from it, which I will never regret.

So, the countdown has started and I will keep you up to date. Until then, is there anyone from Brissie can give me some insights about your city, especially activities or venues that I can make some friends? 'Cos it will always be nice to know someone/something before I leap out onto an alien planet (to me anyway). Cheereo!

P.S. This is NOT a 'Forever-Goodbye' as I will continue to blog and post my Once Daily Dosing and MenPills on JUB.

Of course I will! This will just be a relocation for me, so don't you worry! I've come this far and I won't give it all up that easy!

Not so alien, muffin. They drive on the same side of the road as you. Have the same way of spelling "colour" and "favour" and such. You'll just get better steaks and more sunshine...and wind up saying "G'day" all over the place. And if you go to Bondi Beach, you'll get whiplash from looking at all the gorgeous men everywhere. You'll wind up in love with a stud in a blue speedo, in lust with a lifeguard in a red speedo, involved with a beauty in a white speedo, and generally have the time of your life...so much so, you'll never want to come back. I'll bet you even get a tan line. I envy you...and can't wait to hear of your adventures. (And you'd never know I've never been to Aussie land.) ;)

Great to know you'll be keeping up the blog as I really enjoy reading reading it. Myabe if there are regulars who read the blog and posts comments it won't make you feel as far away from your friends and family (although we're obviously not on a par as your real friends and family).

Brisbane is cute! You'll have fun! And Jemmytee is right about Bondi Beach...but Bondi is in Sydney. There's no beach in Brisbane (it sits on a river slightly inland - but Surfer's Paradise is not too far away.) Just make sure to get to Syndey, now THAT's where it's at. (Can you guess where I live? :D )

I wish you well in wallabies land...
A friend of mine lived there for two years in Albury in the New South Wales and had the time of his life!
Oh, are you gonna change your job or is it in the same field? (just curious here)

Well I will still work in the same field in a hospital, but who knows, I can work anything I want (except being a stripper) when I'm there!

I'm from Bris Vegas, but don't live there anymore... the beaches are the best thing about SE Qld, and what I miss most! As soon as it's warm enough, go to Alexandria Bay at Noosa, and Kings Beach at Byron Bay (Northern NSW). Both are within a couple of hours drive from the city (opposite directions) but well worth it! Both are nude and have many gay sunworshippers to play with! Enjoy!
