By now, some of you might have heard or watched his songs and videos across the internet, therefore, I do apologise to those who have already read about him, but I just couldn't bare to miss out his cute- ness on my site.

His voice? Angelic. His face? Also angelic. All the rest? Well, I'm guess- ing it's a little more complicated than that. And that's doubtless the ap- peal for the growing fan base of singer/songwriter/actor Jay Brannan.

He first drew notice for his performance in John Cameron Mitchell's movie Shortbus (I still have to watch it). In it, he played guitar and sang a cute song he wrote called Soda Shop. So sweetly sung by Jay, you may think it's a simple 50's throwback, when you hear talk of sock hops and shoo-be-doobie-doo-wops. But I can tell you it's a little more complicated than that. In fact, it's about someone who is drinking way too much!

It doesn't take long for the song to make Jay an online star, the video of him performing it has been viewed nearly a million times. Does the fact that he's shirtness, performing in his toilet have anything to do with it? Umm, surely it does, but I think the rest of his songs hold similar charms and revelations. Just wondering, when you jerk off, where do you cum when:

This eponymous debut single was one of those rare records that come from nowhere and instantly capture the imagination of clubbers, radio listeners, and singles buyers.

The catchy spine of the song is given a strong electronic backbone by the production and guess what? I'm totally in love with this song and I just can't give it away!

I've never had a gay relationship but after watching this, it makes me wonder if almost all gay men think it's a 'norm' to have an open relationship. I'm sure some say it's ok to play with a third person, and others say it's ok to play with someone even one-on-one. I mean, why?

What has ever happened to the meaning of true love and commitment? It just seems to me that there's a higher percentage amongst gay people than straight people. Yes, I do know straight couples do mess around outside their relationships, but do you agree it's more common with gay couples? Probably because we don't tend to have kids like straight married couples, or some of us lose the 'spice' with the same partner over time, but are these good excuses for sleeping around?

At the end of the day, I guess everyone has their own philosophy of love and relationship and it's our very own choice, how to go in relationship. But for me, I am hoping to look for someone who wants a committed relationship - meaning monogamous. If he comes along, that's great, and if he doesn't, I just figure that that's the way it was meant to be but I don't intend to bed-hop. Why? Well, because I still believe in true love. Things tend to happen when you least expected. It was Monday night and I swear to God I saw the hottest ever chocolate advert on TV while I was still indulging myself in Wentworth Miller's beauty in Prison Break. Well, it turned out the Sex and the City heart-throb Jason Lewis was making me melt as the new face of Aero Bubbles.

Jason, 35, who played Samantha's boyfriend Smith Jerrod, stars in an new Aero advert set to send temperatures soaring. The muscle-bound star appears in a small towel having just stepped out of the shower in his penthouse apartment to explain the 'science' behind the famous Aero Bubbles. Staring confidently into the camera, the sex symbol says in his dulcet tones.

"37 degrees Celsius. Otherwise known as body temperature. When chocolate reaches this magic number, it starts to melt, uncontrollably. When the little bubbles in new Aero Bubbles dissolve, the chocolate melts even faster in your mouth. And that, ladies, makes the pleasure even more intense."

SOS...

The lineup has been announced for the former US vice-president Al Gore's SOS Live Earth Concert at Wembley Stadium in July. Madonna, Duran Duran, Keane, and the Black Eyed Peas are among the artists set to perform at the gig, one of seven shows around the world on the July 7, 2007. Other artists set to perform at the London gig are Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, James Blunt, Genesis, and Bloc Party. The organisers hope they'll do as much for environmental awareness as Live Aid did for poverty in Africa.

The concerts will be broadcast live on the BBC in London, and on NBC in America. It will also be on more than 120 networks around the world, and streamed live online. Acts lines up for the American leg in New York include Bon Jovi, the Dave Matthews Band, Kanye West, Rihanna, John Mayer, Smashing Pumpkins, and Fall Out Boy.

Other Live Earth shows will take place around the globe in Shanghai, Johannesburg, Sydney, Tokyo, and Rio de Janeiro. The concerts mark the start of a new campaign called SOS (Save Our Selves), the Con- cert for a Climate in Crisis. So will you be there 'cos I really wanna go!

Virginia Tech Shooting...

April 16, 2007, thirty-three people have been killed at Virginia Tech University after a gunman went on a shooting spree. It is hard to put into words how to react to such a barbaric act, and I feel that there is little I can say to ease the pain of all those victims, only to let them know that my thoughts are with all those affected in anyway by this tragedy.

Personally, my view on the shooting is that gun laws in America should be toughened up in some way so something like this will never hap- pened again, but at the end of the day, I believe the worst weapons that kill are not guns or knives, it is human beings.

May all the victims rest in peace and I pray that America will learn from this...

Ever Wonder...

Believe it or not, guys have nipples because women have nipples simply because all embryos start out as female (no wonder we like men). Gender becomes determined around six weeks of development as a result of hormone 'baths', triggered by the genetic character of the cells' chromosomes. So, the basic physiological structures are initially there, with the hormones released around the sixth week of development determining whether an embryo will develop male or female characteristics.

Nipples in men have no specific purpose, but can be very responsive to sexual stimulation. Nipples (in both men and women) are filled with many nerve endings and can be quite sensitive. They can be an erotic area for both men and women and respond to sexual touch and stimulation. Breasts are one of the defining structures that identify all mammals in the animal kingdom, and nipples occur in both the male and female of the species. Sleeping Alone...

Buried in a tangled mess of blankets, sheets and pillows, lay a single silent form. A leg was visible near the bottom of the bed. Thick brown hair covered a well defined calve muscle. The hair continued down to the foot, and there was even a hair or two on the toes. Looking up the bed, an arm tightly clutched a pillow. It too was covered, albeit less densely, in brown hairs. It was a thin arm, but it had well defined muscles. This form was obviously a young man.

A glance towards the head resting on the pillow would confirm this. Atop the head was shortly buzzed dark brown hair. The hair matched the stubble growing on the chin. The most stunning feature of this sleeping man was his lips. Thick and crimson in colour, they begged to be kissed. Above the lips was a nose that had obviously seen a few fights, but that only added character to this alluring creature. His eyes were still closed, but if they were open you'd see they were as dark brown as his hair. A deep brown that dragged you in.

The depth contained in the eyes only raised questions when you looked into them. The complexity of thought and emotion they could display was almost too intense to watch. It was hard to see in the low light, but if you looked closely, you could also see the trail his tears fell that night.

The sleeping figure lay alone in the cold room. His sleep was restless, as witnessed by the condition of the blankets around him. He tossed and turned all night, but to no avail. What he seeked he couldn't find by changing positions in bed. The warmth of someone laying next to him was what he craved. Nothing could comfort him like the feeling of flesh against his own. But tonight, like most of the nights in his life, he was the solitary figure in the bed.

The man had no problem solving the problem that faced him tonight. But the results were always temporary, and only served to make the time after even more painful. He didn't just want someone next to him, he wanted that person to always be next to him. For the rest of his life, he needed to know his companion would always be there when he woke up. No different people, no painful hangovers and surprized glances at the body next to him.

To put it simply, this man wanted love. Real love, not the kind of love he had dealt in before. All his experiences in sex had left him unfulfilled and feeling dirty. Sex isn't supposed to be quick, dirty, and anonymous. Sex isn't supposed to be with someone you met earlier that night. Sex without love, well, that was what created this hole in him in the first place. Having experienced the sweet pleasures of the act only served to increase his want for someone he could truly appreciate it with.

Sure, he had been told "I Love You" before, and even said the words himself. But not once did they ring true. Such powerful words to use so carelessly. He came to the conclusion that most people do not understand love. They will say the words if they know they will result in sex, or better yet a repeat performance. But the true meaning of the word seems to be often forgotten.

Love, at least to him, is perfect. Love is everything one should strive for, and achieving pure love would be to reach nirvana, to be enlightened, to go to heaven and so much more. Love is the conclusion to all the spiritual journeys of life, they all lead to love. The extent of the effect love has is too broad to comprehend. Love is trusting someone completely. It's knowing you can tell them all your dirty secrets, all the mistakes you've made, and every thought that goes on in your head and they'll love and accept you still. It's not being afraid to be honest. Love does not hesitate. The trust that must be established for real love to exist means you are confident. You speak the truth without fear. Love erases all fear. To be truly loved, is to be shown that not a single thing you have done or can do will change that. You aren't afraid of being laughed at, of being lied to or being rejected. Without fear in your life, there is only happiness. Love is the most positive thing imaginable.

It's too bad the world around us corrupts love so badly. People are afraid of real love. People choose fear over love. They choose unhappiness over joy. This world twists love so badly that people are scared of it. They would rather not get hurt then experience life to the fullest. The man knows this about love and yet even he is afraid of it. He has been hurt too many times to give his trust easily. But someday he will. Things will change when the right man comes along. There must be someone else in the world who feels the same way about love. Someone who is sleeping alone, and wishing they weren't.
