My Live Experience With...

Last night, I went to Westlife's Back Home Tour in London (yeah, yeah, you can call me gay all you like), but surprisingly, I wasn't enjoying it as much as I thought (partly thanks to the girl sat next to me, who blew her whistle like there's no tomorrow).

I mean, I've loved the boys (Mark is such a cutie) AND their music all the way back to Flying Without Wings, however, when it comes to live performance, I was a bit disappointed, especially if you've been a Madonna concert! Basically, there were three things that put me off:

First was the fact that the concert was started unacceptably late! My ticket printed 'DOORS 6:30PM SHOW 7:30PM' but we didn't see the band till 9:00PM! All we got in that 1.5 hours was the so-called 'Special Guest', not one but FIVE dumb blondes in mini skirts swinging their hips on the stage while singing other people's songs to the crowd. By that time, I was like, "What the f*ck is this sh*t?"

Secondly maybe it's me that I've never been to a boyband concert, but my eardrum was nearly shattered because there's just TOO MUCH whistling and girls' high-pitched screaming going on! Yes, I understand you can get excited when you see Kian showing off his ass (with his boxers on) but seriously, you don't need to scream throughout the entire friggin' show! That's just annoying!

And last but not least, for some odd reason, it seemed to me that the boys weren't really in the mood for the concert. Don't get me wrong, they did a good job with their singing and dancing (well, at least they tried) but in terms of excitement, it lacked something special, and so they failed to deliver a GREAT show as they promised.

Overall, it was an entertaining evening but not brilliant. If you ask me if I would do it again, my answer would probably be, "I think I'll stick with their CDs at home."
