Pardon Me...

To be honest, I don't think there's such thing as the 'British' accent, instead, there are literally dozens of different English accents (and dialects) and dozens each of Welsh and Scottish accents, as well!

So to me, the 'British' accent is only something that exists outside the U.K. Having said that, I'm flattered that many people love 'our' accent, especially for those across the Atlantic who think the Brit accent is hot!

I don't really know what 'British' accent I have but I've been staying in the West Country for quite sometime, so maybe a West Country accent is not a bad thing =P Personally I love the Australians, they just sound so ultra-masculine and sexy! Much better than what the Queen speaks!

It does exist a British accent...
The difference with americans (for exsample) is they usually look at you like you're talking in Spanish.
Ok, our English might be not so good, but then why do Brits understand?

You can say Scotland and Galles have a different accent.
But we recognise you Brits by ther elegance, calm and clearness you have when you speak.

I agree. Even the girls sound blokey. (Glossal muscle firmly planted on buccal mucosa).
