Extreme Male Beauty...

Last night I watched a very interesting programme on Channel 4 called Extreme Male Beauty, and it showed how far some men are willing to go to get that perfect Adonis body.

Like all good lifestyle series, this one kicks off with an impressive statistic. British men spend £920 million a year on male grooming products! Wow, sounds a lot doesn't it? But there are more than 25 million men over 15 in the UK, so it works out at £36.75 a year each. Or just 70p a week?! You can't even buy deodorant for that =P

Anyway, last night's show brought us to meet (and transform) the vainest man in Doncaster who's dismissed as 'a bit chavvy' and a bodybuilder who spends £120-a-week on steroids. At the same time, the host of the show, 35-year-old journalist Tim Shaw will share his extreme efforts over the coming weeks to achieve the body beautiful by any means necessary.

Seriously, I'm not sure all the full-frontal nude shots of Tim and other average looking men were needed to convince us they need help, but watching men from all walks of life as they compete in the initial mass auditions through to the winning cover photo shoot for the May 2009 edition of the Men's Health Magazine is definitely a treat for the eyes!

Extreme Male Beauty is airing at 10pm every Thursday on Channel 4 this May.

I am working my way to this body...

Apparently the host would rather look the way he used to than the way he does now and not worry so much about what he eats. Next week's episode features penis enlargement.

Too bad this is only airing in the UK.
It'd be interesting, to say the least. :/

Looks looks looks... that's all media are focussing on these days. I am really fed up with all these programs. They only lead to people disliking themselves.

Can you do a post on Graham Norton, who actually achieved something and should get an award for being original? :)))))
