STI Hotspots...

The hotspots for catching STIs in England have been released by Health Protection Agency and I can't believe Haringey, the area I'm living, is actually one of them! I'm confused. If we have the lowest levels of sexual health (least healthy), then we must have the highest levels of sexual illness. Which is it?

“... as a social group, gay men have one of the LOWEST levels of sexual health, which is something we should all be proud of!”

Are you you saying that with a wink? Are you happy that gay men are having enough sex that we’re infecting each other at a higher rate than straighties? A low level of sexual health = a high level of sexual disease. PinkPaper.com should have chosen their words a little more carefully, I think.

Sorry guys, I've totally misinterpreted the entire thing and I do apologise for the confusion. It really sucks when I thought we were good but we were not! What exactly is the problem of practicing safe sex? Aren't life and health more important than sex?
