Happy Halloween everyone! I did go out to town with a few friends last night but not to a Halloween party. To be honest, I've never been to a fancy dress party in my life other than a 'Trick or Treat' in Hong Kong when I was 10.
Guess what? Today marks my one year of living in London and I just can't believe how fast those 365 days went by! So, what's the same and what's different? Here's a quick summary.
For the sames - I'm still single (and open for application). I still live in the same house and work the same job. I still exercise by going to the gym and playing gay squash. I still volunteer for Pride London. I'm still healthy and I'm happy and proud with the way I am. I'm still shy to talk to guys in the bar. Madonna is still my Queen of Heart (even though she's not been doing much lately). Oh, and I'm still writing The Ministry of Pleasure =]
Now for the differences - I've made lots of new friends. I've discovered ballet and opera and started a new graphic design course. I'm no longer afraid to walk into a gay bar. I've stopped volunteering for GMFA. I'm more confident in bed simply because I've slept with more men than before =P I've gone out more, but at the same time, I've experienced the gay scene a bit more and realised just how good and bad it can get. Oh, and last but definitely not least, I've spent more!
Seriously, moving to London has given me more than I'd expected, and the best bit is that there are still a lot more I can do (and men I can meet =P) in this big city. Of course, not everything may go the way I hope for it to go (not everything in life is fair) but who cares? I just be myself and live everyday to the fullest because time flies by!
There are monsters everywhere in this world and I pray you don't fall victim to a predator of your own race... Oops, maybe it's too late =P
If I'm not wrong, this'll be my third installment of A Mixture Of Tastes. And this time, I'll teach you some sign language, do some house cleaning, get myself ready for Shayne, embrace a bit of holiness, take a bath and have a gay cat fight. Enjoy!

Guess what? Tonight was my third time to see Jay live and he NEVER fails to put on anything less than an excellent show. Besides, I was lucky enough to have a photo taken with him before the show starts! Woohoo, at last one of my (many) dreams has finally come true!
Leaving London, Jay will continue his UK tour in York on October 24 and Cambridge on October 25. After that, he'll be touring Canada and the USA in November and December. Please check Jay's upcoming appearance for more details.

Last night I went to see HURTS at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire and they delivered an outstanding performance. For ninety minutes, the synthpop duo performed 11 songs off their new album, plus a beautiful cover of Kylie's Confine In Me and a new song called Happniness.
To me, the highlight (or should I say anticipation?) of the night was when they sang the song Devotion that everyone in the hall was kinda 'expecting' Kylie would appeared on the stage at the beginning of the second verse. Unfortunately, she didn't.
And I'm no exception! But seriously, can somebody please locate this hottie and make him my boyfriend? He's so brilliant and HOT!
