Looking Back...

So it's time of the year again, for reflection and resolution, as usual. I still like doing this, especially so many things happened this year and here's what I felt were the top five for this year.

Seriously, this has to be the biggest (and the most expensive) thing I've ever achieved (and bought) in 2011 (and for my entire life). I'm finally a house owner after 32 years and it feels GREAT to walk around the flat naked and have the entire fridge all by myself!

Yes, I can finally call myself one after a year of graphic design course at the Shillington College, London. I'm still a pharmacist and I've got a few small freelance projects from here and there. Hopefully, 2012 will bring me more works!

From coming out from a gigantic 'egg' at the Grammys to fighting against the DADT policy for the U.S. military, the Mother Monster has given me joy and courage in 2011. Forget about Judas, may Yoü & I Marry The Night until we both reach the Edge Of Glory because we were Born This Way baby!

Well, what more can I say about Mr. T? He's been my ups and downs of 2011. Although we didn't manage to be together (as a couple) happy forever after, we manage to be together (as friends) happy forever after, which isn't a total disaster...

Altough it's been a busy year and I didn't update my blog as much as I wished, I still managed to carry on blogging in my fifth year and received more than 3 million hits! So thank you guys and I'll try to do better in 2012!

John Lewis Vs Habitat...

Arghh... I'm in furniture dilenma again and I need all your professional help! So, I'm deciding on which office chair I should get to match my white MUJI desk. Should I go for John Lewis' Victor Chair (£159) or Habitat's Hamilton Office Chair (£128)? Both chairs are very comfy to sit on and both look great... HELP!

Season's Greeting...

Finally the countdown is over! Whether you've been good or bad this year, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

So, I was spending Christmas eve with my friends cooking Christmas dinner and watching TV, which include Hair Spray, Star Trek, A Very Gaga Thanksgiving and Bronson till 3am. Thanks for being my company this Christmas Tarun and Ameet xxx

Today is Christmas day and I don't have much plan during the day except picking Mr. T up at the airport (+ Christmas dinner) tonight as there won't be any public transport running.

What Would You Wish For...

On the second day to Christmas my true love send to me... A SANTA LIST! Hmm, I wonder who will be on that list...

Honestly, I bet I'll find my name on that list too. Let's face it, I've been good but who on earth can be good for the entire year? Sometimes I really think Santa is asking too much. And it'd be too boring to be good all the time don't you agree?

Let The Angels Sing...

On the 4 days to Christmas my true love send to me... FIVE CHRISTMAS SONGS!

I'm sure everyone has their favourite Christmas songs and here are my all time top 5 (with no order of preference).

Do They Know It's Christmas?

Seriously, there's not a single time that I've heard it that I haven't thought of the meaning behind it and the reason the song was written in the first place. It reminds me how one person can fuse their passion with a purpose and change the world.

It Came Upon A Midnight Clear

With the message of peace that the angels proclaimed on the first Christmas when Jesus Christ was born, this beautiful hymn dates back to my primary school days when I used to sing it in Chinese and I still remember every single word of it.

Last Christmas

'Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day, you said you weren't gay. This year, to save me from tears, I'll give it some someone bisexual.' Thank you George =P

All I Want For Christmas Is You

Mariah's Christmas classic is such a guilty pleasure and you just can't call it Christmas without listening to it!

Merry Christmas Everyone

The song says it all - MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Bring Me Sunshine...

On the 7 days to Christmas my true love send to me... A CHRISTMAS CHORUS!

First of all, I've officially lived in my new flat for a week (photos to follow) and it's been good although there are still boxes everywhere - even the 'table' that I'm using right now is actually made out of a box. I just can't wait till the big boxing day sales in a week's time!

Anyways, that's not the main point of this post, what I really wanna say is that I was lucky enough to get a ticket to see the London Gay Men's Chorus Christmas concert last night at the Cadogen Hall and it's gayer and merrier than last year's show. I mean, they even had a Santa stripper on stage, which was totally out of my expectation! And Ameet, you sang BRILLIANT! Thank you SO much for the invitation =]

For more info on their upcoming shows, check out their website HERE.

New Beginning...

On the 16 days to Christmas my true love send to me... MY NEW NEIGHBOURSSS!

So tonight is gonna be the last night I spent in my current house. While I look forward to a new chapter of my life, I nevertheless feel a certain sadness at the thought of leaving the wonderful people who I lived with for the past two years. Thank you for all your help and support. This is not the end. I just moved down the road so we'll be neighbours, not housemate =]

P.S. Since I'm moving house, my internet connection won't be set up till December 20, but I'll try my best to update this blog whenever I can get hold of some internet. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

On the 17 days to Christmas my true love send to me... A GAY MOVIE!

After missing the screening at London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival and Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, I finally managed to watch Weekend in the cinema tonight and I liked it.

Based in the city of Nottingham, UK, half-out lifeguard Russell (Tom Cullen) who hooks up with confident artist Glen (Chris New) on Friday night, only to discover that he's off to the US for good on Sunday evening. That gives them just one weekend to fall in love...

I really love the storyline and how issues about gay life is portrayed - the reality of meeting someone and thinking it's gonna last forever yet somehow it's gonna end. So real and true.

All I Want For Xmas Is You...

On the 18 days to Christmas my true love send to me... Mariah Carey! This has to be one of my most favourite Christmas songs! So shall we get into the Christmas spirit then?

Guilty Pleasure...

On the 19 days to Christmas Sean Cody send to me... Jed the Beauty! Can I have him for this Christmas Santa please?

To me, the 21-year-old reminds me of Pavel Novotný (aka Max Orloff) who is considered by many to be one the most beautiful man in the history of porn.

Besides those big sexy pecs of his, Jed also offers his great hairy pits, hairy torso, great pubes, super smile, big cock and bubble ass for our pleasure. Oh, and did I miss out to mention those studly leg-thigh hair?! Seriously, if I had his body at 21, I'd have had SO many men!

Hmm, maybe he should have a day job as a weatherman and I'll watch his forecast every day and night x

On the 21 days to Christmas my blog readers send to me... THREE MILLION HITS!

Seriously, I'm SO thrilled! What more can I say? Thank you for believing in me and supporting my blog. You guys are truely awesome! I really appreciate all the emails, comments and encouraging words. Really =]

Anyway, today I bought myself the white Origami Dinning Table for my new pad and went to see Eugene Onegin with Mr. T at the ENO. Lame storyline but beautiful music and singing.

Not Good Enough...

So I only managed to make nine posts in November, and that's just not good enough despite the fact that I was back in Hong Kong for two weeks. Trust me, I do feel bad not updating TMOP as often as I ought to be, however, my new pad has taken over my life and it's more important than anything else, even men and sex!

But I promise, I promise that December will be better, sexier and more fun! Plus it's Christmas! Hmm, maybe I should do a TMOP avent calendar...

We are fast approaching December 1, 2011 when we commemorate yet another year of World AIDS Day. It's now 30 years, June 5, 1981, since the first AIDS case was published by the Centre for Disease Control. It became known as Gay-related immune deficiency (GRID). Today, this disease knows no boundaries and can affect and/or infect anyone. At the end of 2010, it's estimated that 34 million people globally living with HIV, there were 2.7 million new HIV infections, and 1.8 million people died of AIDS-related illnesses.

UN AIDS report that "the overall growth of the global aids epidemic appears to have stabilized. The annual number of new HIV infections has been steadily declining since the late 1990s and there are fewer aids-related deaths due to the significant scale up of antiretroviral therapy over the past few years. Although the number of new infections has been falling, levels of new infections overall are still high, and with significant reductions in mortality the number of people living with HIV worldwide has increased.

As is customary globally, TODAY will be dedicated to remember those we've lost and to be thankful for the survival of those we love who live with the disease that has no cure. Happy WAD 2011 and show your support by wearing a red ribbon today!
