I tend to forget how lucky I am to live in a country where same-sex marriage is legal…As for the feeling part of this story, it ashames (?) me about my whining about my ex who may be kept hostage by his family but is still alive & I even hear about him from time to time :'/
VOI AMERICANI (USA)SIETE IL POPOLO PIU' STRANO DEL MONDO,NON PENSAVO ESISTESSERO DELLE PERSONE COSI CATTIVE E BIGOTTE E PENSA CHE IO VIVO IN ITALIA
A very sad story. Even though I have every confidence that neither my or my partner's family would behave as Tom's did, we have made wills and have durable power of attorney, and members of both families know we have them and will honor them. Lest it sound as if we have always been so efficient. my partner and I have been together 14 years and it was just this year that we finalized the wills. It's as secure as we can make it in Tennessee, where it will be years before gay couples can marry. I urge all other committed gay couples to take similar steps.
