Toreadore Toreadore...

So I went to see Bizet's Carmen at the ENO last night and what a great show it was. With some of the most beautiful and instantly recognisable music in all opera and one tastefully occluded scene of male nude, I have to say my £12.50 ticket was money well spent!

Oh, and I'm getting ready for L'elisir d'amore at the ROH tonight =]

MY EVER DARLING WILL,
I'M GLAD YOU ARE FILLING YOUR SOUL FULL OF OPERATIC BEAUTY...THIS EXPERIENCE CAN BE MOST TRANSFORMATIVE BECAUSE IT HAS THE POTENTIAL OF ALLOWING OURSELVES TO BE TOUCHED BY GOD AND DRAWN INTO HIS HEART THROUGH LOVE. I PRAY THIS IS HAPPENING TO YOU AND YOUR FELLOW OPERA BUFFS. WHEN OUR MINDS, HEARTS, AND SOULS FLY TO THE HEIGHTS OF CREATED BEAUTY, THE INFINITE BEAUTY THEY ANNOUNCE AND MIRROR CATAPULTS US HAPPILY INTO HIM WHO IS BEYOND THE HEIGHTS. IT GIVES NEW MEANING TO THE ANGEL "GLORIA IN EXCELCSIS DEO..."

WITH ALL MY LOVE IN THIS SEASON,
YOUR FAITHFUL SOULFRIEND,

PAV
