Go Montpellier...

It's not everyday one gets to have their wedding broadcast on national television, but for Vincent Autin and Bruno Boileau, their historic ceremony was broadcast live on French TV today as they have become the first gay couple to wed in France, just days after President Francois Hollande signed the same-sex marriage bill into law.

The two grooms wore matching black suits, one in a tie, one in a bowtie, and walked up the aisle holding hands to the jazz chords of Nat King Cole's L.O.V.E. When they tearfully exchanged rings to the pointedly-chosen Frank Sinatra's Love and Marriage go together like a horse and carriage, the crowd reached for the handkerchiefs.

"Now at least marriage is an option to all of us, what a historic day," sighed a drag-queen dressed as a disco nun.

The couple met online in 2006 on a fan site dedicated to the pop singer Christophe Willem, star of the TV show La Nouvelle Star, an equivalent of Britain's Got Talent. Some of the fans on the site agreed to meet up in Paris. Autin and Boileau met and fell in love. Autin was a long-time gay rights campaigner in Montpellier. Boileau, who lived in Essonne outside Paris, had not been out with a man before.

Now that they are married, the couple would like to adopt a child. They will both change their surname to Boileau-Autin.

Autin took his husband's hand and told him, "I only have one fear about this marriage, that our lives won't be long enough."

Awww... Félicitation Vincent and Bruno =]

Something Happened...

I know some of you may get mad or disappointed at me for what I did with Peter Pan, but forgive me, I (and the same to him) just couldn't resist the temptation. He asked if he could stay the night at mine and I said, "Yes you can."

My Precious...

Few weeks ago I featured his blog on my website and by now if you still haven't visited Eighty Eight to Present, then you are really missing out all the witty stories of Ethan, a single 24-year-old engineer/swimmer living alone in a studio flat (with a new hot neighbour living above) in the South East of England.

PR8: How and/or why did you start Eighty Eight to Present?
Ethan: I've been a reader for a while - usually jumping from one blog to another - and I realised that blogging is a good way to vent some air particularly on more personal issues without the fear of being judged for the rest of my life. I used to write a diary when I was in school and it helped keep me calm and process my emotions better, like when we lost a match against another school (or when I was fooling around with another boy). Would have been great if my diary could talk back but now I can spill everything on here!

Could you tell me a bit about the title of your blog in your own words?
It's not really a well thought through title - there's no profound meaning or hidden messages. I was born in 1988. Everything that's happened since, whether I remember it or not, is part of the character you read about.

What are your goals here?
World domination... Haha I don't have any goals for the blog. It's just a form of record and hopefully a place to get ideas and support from. If anything, I hope people will see that being gay doesn't mean you can't seek or believe in God, and vice versa.

Where do you see the blog going in the future?
Again, never really thought about it! I don't spend a lot of time thinking beyond the next fortnight.

Have you visited The Ministry of Pleasure? If yes, use THREE WORDS to describe how you feel about my blog.
Arty, sexy, pink. Me clearly no good at scrabbles!

And last but not least... Madonna. Yay or Nay?
Not my cup of tea I'm afraid.

I Heart...

What a start of the Bank holiday weekend! Went to work in the morning till 2pm then went to a BBQ organised by Peter Pan's friends before going to see Jonathan Harvey's classic play, Beautiful Thing, at the Arts Theatre together. What a GREAT performance. It worked on stage just as well as the film! Oh, and Tony (played by Oliver Farnworth) is SO adorably cute!

The West End show is now ended but it will continue to tour around the UK for the rest of May and June so check it out if you live near Liverpool, Leeds and Brighton =]

Congrat Minneapolis...

A bridge in Minneapolis has been lit up like a rainbow in celebration of marriage equality. The Minnesota Government recently signed a bill which will allow same-sex couples to get hitched.

I dunno about you, but I totally think they should do this to the Tower Bridge especially when the House of Commons has recently voted to allow gay marriage in England and Wales, despite 161 MPs opposing the government's plans.

The Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill now goes before the House of Lords and David Cameron hopes it'll become law soon, with the first ceremonies taking place by next summer. The bill, if passed, will allow same-sex couples, who can currently hold civil ceremonies, to MARRY!

An Evil Act...

Honestly, since when did our world become an equation of violence and hate? The street attack at Woolwich yesterday was utterly an act of evil and the killers had achieved nothing what so ever but brought pain to the victim's loved ones. May this poor soldier rest in peace, and may his family be comforted at this difficult time.

Guilty...

So, I've been hanging out with Peter Pan for a couple of times in the past two months and things were cool between us.

Last night, we went to cinema to see Star Trek Into the Darkness (go and watch it, it's really good) and after that, we went back to his place for a glass of wine and some TV till midnight. We hugged goodbye and I left. Once inside my car, I suddenly had this urge to ask him if I could stay over the night, I knew I was playing with fire but I sent the text anyway. Five minutes later, he replied and said he didn't feel comfortable with it and probably not a good idea for our friendship. I respected his decision and drove home.

This morning I woke up and felt really sh*t about what had happened. I sent him an apology and he said, "That's ok Willy. I was tempted too but I know it would be wrong to do so. See you Saturday x"

It's like two steps forward and one step back. Have I moved on? Hmm, maybe not as 'moved on' as I thought or would like, but I'm glad Peter Pan was sensible and made the right decision for me.

In the words of our beloved Samantha Jones from Sex and The City, "Sex with an ex can be depressing. If it's good, you don't have it anymore; if it's bad, you just had sex with an ex."

Don't You Just Love...

Did anyone watch Eurovision last night? I did! To me, it's WONDERFUL TV, great effort by the Swedes and big congratulation to Danmark! In fact, I can actually remember some of the songs today - I LOVE Cezar from Romania because he gave me an Eurovision ogasm at 0:43!

Azerbaijan, Belgium, Greece, Iceland, Italy and Russia were really good too. Honestly, I shouldn't get hung up about the UK not winning (as always) - it's just a really FUN evening =]

Guilty Pleasure...

This set of photos made me realise how beautiful a man's body could be. Not only beautiful in terms of attractiveness. But beautiful as in something God created that is wonderful.

Moving ON...

Today I made another life decision - I handed in my notice to quit my curent job of four years as a pharmacist at my psychiatric hospital.

Don't worry, this is not an impulsive decision. In fact, I've been thinking of resigning for weeks. The reason? Hmmm, partly because the whole workplace politic is getting on my nerve and partly because I JUST WANT A CHANGE IN MY LIFE! So, what's the plan? Well, first of all, I'll still work in this job for two more months, then I'll take a break in July/August (did I hear Vancouver/San Francisco?) before I started to work as a self-employed pharmacist, which gives me the flexibiliy to venture out and do a lot of different things (e.g. graphic design and painting) in my spare time. Also, I'll have the opportunity to work in different places and meet new people.

Of course this is just a plan. If things don't go my way, I can always go back and get a permenant job in the NHS. But at this moment, I am young, free and single. The world is my oyster! Right?

Just FYI...

Regardless your race or sexuality, May is the National Masturbation Month. You may be celebrating RIGHT NOW and you don't even know it, so congratulations!

The National Masturbation Month is intended to reduce the stigma surrounding the discussion and practice of masturbation. And since the start of the National Masturbation Month, various organizations have highlighted it by sponsoring Wank Week and (I'm not making this up) Masturbate-a-thon where people raise money for sex-education groups by wanking themselves! So, as charity fundraisers go, you can't beat it. On second thought, you can!

I Heart Praha...

My first impressions of this place pretty much blew me away. I would have never guessed that Prague was such a beautiful, well kept and historical city. I mean, who knew that Prague was the birthplace to develop the modern beer?! Because I sure didn't.

From the cobblestone streets to the interesting shaped architecture tops to the food market in the main square and the gorgeous Charles Bridge that gives you an amazing view of both sides of the city - I was well impressed by Praha.

On top of all that, I must say a BIG BIG thank you to Oliver, one of my blog readers, and Zdeněk, his cute boyfriend, who kindly spent an awesome Saturday afternoon and took me for a short city walk and to taste my first ever goulash and Czech beer! Honestly, it's a city I would LOVE to visit again :D

Yet Another Profile...

"Honestly, why do people spend all day on here when they're not gonna meet anyone? I'm looking for cute genuine guys for dates. Mostly into Asian (Oriental) guys. Ultimately I am looking for a boyfriend but new friends on the way are more than welcome. Message me if you want to find out more!"

Well, I'm cute, genuine and Asian (Oriental). And I'm looking for a date!
