The Sum Of Us...

Last night, friends and I went to see Australian writer David Stevens' much-loved The Sum Of Us at Above The Stag in Vauxhall. It's a comic drama followed Harry (Stephen Connery-Brown), a straight single widower and his gay 24-year-old son Jeff (Tim McFarland) as they both searching for 'the one'.

The play was hilarious yet very touching. The central relationship at its core was a joy to watch, full of familial intimacy and back-and-forth banter. For a play that revelled in the domestic, there's also an element of fantasy to be had. For so many gay men including myself, the boundariless bond between Harry and Jeff seems unimaginable!

Chemsex...

If you haven't had sober sex in the last six months, it hardly makes you a raging drug addict. I'm a big believer that intimate sexual connections form a very important part of our general well-being, and if we're relying too heavily on chems/drugs to fulfil those needs, then there's some kind of problem going on. So, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM? Read on...

BB-8...

Okay, I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan but I'm not gonna deny the fact that this Droid looks pretty awesome! My biggest obstacle is it costs £129.99! Still, I think it'd make a great Christmas present =]

Quality Cornish Time...

Hi there, I'm back from Cornwall and I had a GREAT time! Blessed with good weather, we managed to do a lot in four short days.

Strolling along St Ives Bay, checking out Tate St Ives, exploring Land's End, seeing the extraordinary Minack Theatre and Porthcurno Beach, having delicious local seafood at Porthleven, revisiting my old school in Truro, attending Cornwall Pride (which was sh*t), meeting up with my guardians (the family used to look after me when I was studying in Truro), staying overnight at the beautiful Fowley, and finishing off with visiting Antony House. God, I just love Cornwall in summer!
