"Unrequited" love is the most difficult love. A guy I dated used the "L" word on the second date, and I refused to use it until I meant it. Sadly, I fell into the trap of the automatic response, "I love you ,too," shortly thereafter. Finally I had "the talk" about real feelings and he had a presonal ad within the week and dumped me within the month. So much for growing in love rather than falling! In French, I would say that at first sight you can be (1)'amoureux', but it takes time to (2)'aimer' someone. I'm not sure if I can translate these words with being (1)'in love' & (2)'love' someone?... As I want to be sure & make you the most confused possible, I wanna ad that even if you can sometimes develop a strong love for someone you have known for a long time, you often get to have a special sparkle at least to begin with.

Hey Pr8; congrats for the 500, and you're doing the most important thing in terms of friendship and dating: you're being honest, keeping your sense of humor, and thinking of the guy's feelings as well as the reality of what tomorrow holds in your happiness as well. To me, love takes time and consideration; 'love at first sight' to me is a romantic idea but isn't actually love to me. It's attraction, lust, anticipation, and infatuation (good word!). Let him know why you feel the way you do, and try to be as direct and true as possible.
